About Ikra Saeed
Ikra works with the Startup Legal Support team to help educate, assess, strategize and implement legal support for DMZ founders.
After earning her Bachelor of Science at McMaster University, Ikra sought to delve into the Canadian startup scene. She discovered her path through Venture for Canada’s entrepreneurial fellowship program, gaining insights and igniting her passion for innovation. Her interest in startups and entrepreneurship led her to a SaaS startup at DMZ, where she advanced the company’s legal support as it scaled up. Working with the legal team fueled her curiosity about legal services in innovation and technology, prompting her to pursue a Juris Doctor degree at Toronto Metropolitan University. Currently, Ikra is in her first year at Lincoln Alexander School of Law and aims to leverage her previous startup experience and legal knowledge to support DMZ and the startup community.
