Rochelle Mendonca

Rochelle is a 4th-year mechanical engineering student specializing in mechatronics, with a Business Essentials minor. She currently serves as the Project Manager for the Toronto Met Formula Racing Design Team, leading over 60 students in the design and manufacturing of an electric vehicle. Under her management, the team placed 1st in Ontario at the International FSAE competition in Michigan (2022), and she personally secured 3rd place in the Cost presentation (2023) out of 70 teams. Rochelle is responsible for project finances, cost reporting, scheduling, and sponsor communications.

In addition to her academic and leadership roles, Rochelle completed a 16-month co-op at Toronto Hydro Electric as a Senior Technical Electrical Engineering Student, managing downtown projects and collaborating with city officials. Her diverse experience also includes customer service roles at Service Ontario, Domino’s Pizza, and Wendy’s, where she honed her leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
