Samantha Tinajero-Alvarado

Sam supports the Marketing team by researching trends and brainstorming social media strategies. In addition, she schedules social media posts and covers live events across the DMZ social media channels.

Sam is currently in her fourth year of Media Production minoring in Global Politics and is passionate about making connections across borders. Before she came to the DMZ, Sam worked as a content creator for the Health and Wellness Department at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has also worked in graphic design and social media management with several NGOs and community-centred organizations such as Shed Red Movement and the Organization of Latin American Students. Her passions lie in environmental conservation and social justice, along with media creation.

Outside of work, Sam loves camping, thrift shopping and playing rugby.
