Area of Expertise
As the Black Innovation Program Assistant at DMZ, Chris Udoeyop plays a key role in supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of the Black Innovation Program. He manages events, communications, stakeholder engagement, and program operations, while also providing administrative, research, and community engagement support to ensure initiatives serving Black founders are delivered effectively and continuously improved.Prior to joining DMZ, Chris built experience as a publicist and digital marketer at various record labels before founding Perfect Math, a Black-owned marketing and communications agency in Toronto.
He also worked as a music and culture journalist for outlets including Complex and Noisey by Vice, refining his editorial voice and storytelling skills.Chris is currently a third-year student in the Bachelor of Arts in Professional Communication program at Toronto Metropolitan University, where he returned last year as a mature student. Passionate about communication, technology, and law, he hopes to pursue a career as an intellectual property and transactional lawyer.
