Emily manages DMZ’s marketing, communications, and public relations strategies, helping position the organization as a world-leading startup ecosystem. She oversees initiatives that strengthen DMZ’s profile globally – from launching international programs and building corporate partnerships to amplifying the voices of founders through media, brand storytelling, and thought leadership.

Before joining DMZ in 2020, Emily built her career across tech, education, and tourism – experiences that cemented her passion for supporting students, entrepreneurs, and Canada’s thriving startup communities.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a Master of Professional Communication from Toronto Metropolitan University.
