Patrick Farrar

Patrick is DMZ's Head of AI. He works hands-on with founders and staff on practical AI implementation, helping DMZ achieve big wins through operational and team efficiencies.He is also the Founder and CEO of AI for Canadians, a practice helping mission-driven Canadian organizations adopt AI in ways that actually move the needle. He works across health, financial services, research, and the nonprofit sector.

He has spent 12 years building Canada's innovation ecosystem, with leadership roles across incubators and VCs like Startup Zone, building national training and operations at Venture for Canada, and economic development hubs in Nova Scotia. Across that work, he has partnered with more than 500 organizations.A Nova Scotia native, Patrick brings a practitioner's lens to AI. He's happiest building toward a Canada that leads in applied AI, convinced we have every ingredient to get there, if we're willing to build instead of just watch.
