Yumiko Namiki

As Head of DMZ Japan, Yumiko oversees programs and partnerships in Japan and leads initiatives that connect Japanese and international startups with global opportunities. She works closely with government agencies, corporate partners, and universities to help founders access international markets, secure funding, and scale their businesses, fostering a thriving startup ecosystem across Japan.

Prior to establishing DMZ Japan, Yumiko was part of the Global Programs team at DMZ’s headquarters in Toronto, where she managed international partnerships and cross-border entrepreneurship programs across the Asia-Pacific region. In this role, she supported the design and delivery of initiatives that helped hundreds of founders expand globally and strengthen innovation ties between Canada and international markets.
