About Eva Wong
Eva Wong doesn’t come from a financial background, but leads one of Toronto’s fastest-growing FinTech startups. Eva was named one of the Standout 35 on the global Women in FinTech Powerlist, and was a finalist for EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year. She was also named one of 20 tech start-up founders to follow by Twitter Canada and serves on the advisory board of the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. Eva holds degrees from Queen’s and Harvard University.
Borrowell offers a variety of financial services for Canadians, spanning credit monitoring and cards, personal loans, mortgages, investing, insurance, and bank accounts. A key aspect of Borrowell’s business is allowing consumers to compare financial products from more than 50 financial institution partners, giving them personalized recommendations based on their credit profile. Borrowell was a startup at the DMZ between 2014-1015.
