About Alex McCalla
Alex is an ex-business consultant who has also worked at numerous scaling tech start-ups in Toronto and the Silicon Valley, gaining experience in strategy, product management, operations, client services and sales. She was awarded the Communitech Fierce Founders $100k prize, and most recently was recognized as one of 50 innovators who are creating a real positive impact by the Globe and Mail.
AirMatrix helps cities and enterprises prepare for, manage, and enable drone operations by building millimetre precise drone roads for dense urban environments. Their company allows municipalities to build aerial highways for multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the sky that travel autonomously and simultaneously. AirMatrix is currently a part of the DMZ’s Black Innovation Fellowship program.
