Christian Grunt

Christian is a Principal at ScaleUP Ventures, a multi-stage venture capital firm with $150MM of assets under management founded by Nadir Mohamed and Sheldon Levy. At ScaleUP, Christian has built deep expertise in financial technology and enterprise software, leading investments including Canalyst (acquired by Tegus) and Coconut Software. Part-time, Christian instructs at Toronto Metropolitan University, and is a contributor to the Faculty of Science Mentorship program, working with students interested in finance careers.

Prior to ScaleUP, Christian was with the Finance Minister of Canada’s Office in Ottawa and Jefferies technology investment banking group in San Francisco.

Christian has earned a Master of Finance from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Toronto Metropolitan University.
