About Claude Guay

Claude Guay is the Global Managing Partner, Ventures, Ecosystems, and Acquisitions of IBM Consulting, where he leads the execution of IBM Consulting’s acquisition strategy, end-to-end across business development, integration, and performance as it continues to expand in high growth areas like open hybrid cloud, AI, ventures, and innovative partner platforms.

Prior to his appointment as Global Managing Partner, Ventures, Ecosystems, and Acquisitions of IBM Consulting in January 2022, Claude was President & General Manager of IBM Canada (April 2020 to January 2022) and Managing Partner, Operations and Performance of IBM Consulting North America (October 2019 to April 2020).

Claude began his career at IBM in 1984 and spent 16 years holding progressively senior positions in systems engineering, sales management, consulting, industry solutions and marketing as Chief Marketing Officer for the IBM Global Travel & Transportation Industry Unit.

In 2000, Claude left IBM to pursue professional goals related to his entrepreneurial spirit and took on various C-level positions which allowed him to leverage his leadership and consulting expertise and assert himself as a digital pioneer. During that time, he held positions as President & CEO of iPerceptions (digital-focused marketing analytics), EVP & CIO at Gildan Activewear (apparel manufacturer), President & CEO at Accovia (IT solutions for the travel industry), and Founder/President & CEO at MTI Services (strategic consulting for the Technology & Travel Industry).

Twelve years later, he returned to IBM as a Partner in Consulting. Prior to his North America position, Claude served as General Manager, Consulting Canada and before that as Vice President for the Consulting Canada Quebec Sector and President of LGS Group Consulting, a wholly owned subsidiary of IBM Canada.

Claude is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO Ontario, YPO Québec),  an Advisory Council Member of the DMZ, a Canadian accelerator for tech start-ups, and a Board Member of Robotique First Quebec, inspiring young people to pursue interest in Science and Technology.

Claude holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from École Polytechnique of Montreal and completed the Entrepreneurship Development Program of MIT Sloan School of Management.
