Operating in the FinTech industry (as the Founder of Chexy) requires pushing through difficult legislation and making strong connections. Liza has proven that tenacity and persistence can break traditional barriers.

What are your hopes for the next generation of women in tech?
I hope that with more access to opportunities and funding, more girls will grow up having female role models and mentors in traditionally male-dominated industries like tech, which will continue to shift the scales towards more gender equality in the space.

What’s the greatest piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Hire missionaries, not mercenaries. The first ten people you hire will define the culture of your entire company; it is critical you get those right.
