About Mayar Hossam

Mayar leads the programmatic activities at the DMZ Cairo.

Mayar launched her own startup, Arcadia, when she was a junior student in university with the sole vision of spreading the entrepreneurial mindset among school students. She also began her journey at Injaz’s startup program in 2014. She is a graduate of the German University in Cairo (GUC), triple majoring in Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management, and Accounting, and also holds a Master’s in Entrepreneurship Education. She worked as an Assistant Lecturer for Entrepreneurship at both GUC and UPEI Cairo Campus. Additionally, she was the Program Coordinator at IMAGINE GUC. Mayar is currently the Program Manager of the Entrepreneurship Center (EC) at UofCanada, and the Program Manager at the DMZ Cairo. Mayar is a proud mommy to a 2-year-old baby girl and a 4-year-old cat. In her spare time, she loves to do calligraphy and hang out with her friends.

Being a stationery and organization freak - Don’t touch my excel sheets!
