Rhiannon Davies

Rhiannon created, acquired, and led firms in Europe, Asia, South, and North America, notably GVSC BV, which she grew into a $2B subsidiary of eyecare giant GrandVision. She was on the Executive and Board of Directors that listed PE-backed GrandVision on the ASE, raising $1.5 billion. Rhiannon is an active investor and mentor, investing in underrepresented but over-performing women-owned technology start-ups. Rhiannon is Co-founder and Managing Partner at Sandpiper Ventures.

What are your hopes for the next generation of women in tech?
I hope to see women tech leaders recognised, their innovation celebrated, delivering large scale impact, massive and profitable growth, and gaining equal access to capital.

What’s the greatest piece of advice you have ever received?
Each individual is human and complex, maintain a balance of empathy and assertiveness, be kind to everyone and don't be afraid of anyone.
