DisGovr Canada and the DMZ partner to bring GovTech Summit to Toronto
TORONTO – August 15, 2019 – In order to enable procurement opportunities between government and up-and-coming innovations, DisGovr Canada, a platform helping tech companies connect with the government’s public sector, has partnered with the DMZ, Canada’s leading accelerator for tech startups, to bring its quarterly GovTech Summit to Toronto for the first time.
Taking place on Tuesday, October 1, the DisGovr GovTech Summit powered by DMZ will include:
- Pitches by 12 AI startups to provide government attendees, industry leaders and venture capitalists with new technologies currently being generated across Canada
- An afternoon of workshops and breakout sessions that will help startups learn how to engage with government for procurement opportunities
- Opportunity to facilitate one-on-one deep dives with government public sector representatives, industry professionals and venture capitalists
“We are thrilled to hold our next GovTech Summit series in partnership with Ryerson DMZ in Toronto,” said Kevin Tetreault, Executive Director, DisGovr Canada. “DisGovr Canada’s GovTech Summits, aimed at Canadian public sector leaders, are a great opportunity to raise awareness of up-and-coming innovative Canadian companies driving change and disruption.
